Wethersfield, CT, November 25, 2002 - PilotFish Technology, LLC announced today that it is offering free downloads of its recently completed PilotFish XMLife Communications Suite™ of products. The suite was developed with the objective of dramatically reducing the time and cost of implementing ACORD compliant e-Commerce solutions.

Since the Beta version of the PilotFish XMLife Communications Suite (XCS) was offered three weeks ago on a 'by invitation only' basis, eight insurance companies have been added to the PilotFish Technology customer list. The companies include: Swiss Re, Prudential Financial, SBLI of Massachusetts, Mass Mutual Financial Group, Northwestern Mutual Life, Vision Financial Corporation, Hartford Life, and ING Re.

At PilotFish, after having developed an application that employs the entire ACORD XMLife standard, we were surprised to find that many of the e-Commerce trading partners were only "in the process" of implementing the standard. As a result, they could not easily converse with our application. To address the problem, PilotFish Technology decided to make available to other business entities involved in the life insurance process, the same software that was used to develop our own ACORD compliant application.

The PilotFish XMLife Communications Suite is comprised of three components:

1) The PilotFish XMLife Generic Parser - allows the automatic parsing of incoming ACORD compliant XML transmissions and update of a database without the need to write custom interfaces. Using the parser, XMLife can be received and processed as a file, an e-mail attachment or as a post to an HTTP server.

2) The PilotFish ACORD Compliant Database Generator - automatically creates a complete ACORD compliant database in virtually any relational database technology including Oracle, DB2, SQL/Server and ACCESS. The database is compliant with the most current ACORD data model, incorporates the entire model and supports business processes from prospecting to claims for Life, Health and Annuity products.

3) The PilotFish XMLife Exporter - produces ACORD compliant XML output. XMLife can be output as a file, an e-mail attachment or as a post to an HTTP server.

When the components of the PilotFish XMLife Communications Suite are used in combination with other rapid application development technology, any application in the insurance process can be configured and deployed quickly at a fraction of previous costs. Companies will have everything they need to quickly establish themselves as e-Commerce trading partners within the financial services industry. Business entities including distributors, manufacturers, administrators, third party providers and reinsurers can finally all be linked together via the Internet into a seamless business process.
